The local table belongs to both Rabac and the inland villages above it. What is fresh from the sea meets the agricultural traditions of Istria.
Look for seasonal fish when available, grilled vegetables, local olive oils and wines from the peninsula. A meal at the water’s edge can be wonderful, but the village’s real advantage is that Labin and its surrounding countryside are close enough for a different table the next night.

Taste of Rabac.
Menus, opening hours and sourcing vary by establishment. Ask what is local and in season rather than assuming a dish is regional because it appears on a tourist menu. Make reservations in peak summer, and consider an evening in Labin’s historic streets when you want the food to come with architecture and a view.
