The distance by road is only around five kilometres, but the atmosphere changes completely. In Labin, steep stone streets, old palaces and working ateliers replace parasols and pontoons. The area’s mining history adds a less expected layer to eastern Istria, giving the landscape depth beyond the postcard view.
